The Financial Ombudsman Service is pleased to have formed a media partnership with Choice magazine - a leading lifestyle magazine for people over 50 - as a key part of its campaign to help raise awareness of the service among older consumers.

The ombudsman launched this campaign at The Retirement Show 2008, held at London Olympia and Glasgow. To mark these event, the ombudsman service produced a new range of information and publicity materials - to highlight the role and relevance of the ombudsman service.

Focusing on a period in life when consumers are likely to face significant change - and important financial challenges and decisions - the campaign reminds older people about their right as consumers to use the independent free ombudsman service, in the event of a dispute with a bank, insurance company or finance firm.
