The Financial Ombudsman Service is launching a series of events around the country this summer - especially for insurance and mortgage intermediaries.
Insurance and mortgage intermediaries will become regulated by the FSA from late 2004/early 2005 - when these firms will also become covered by law by the Financial Ombudsman Service. But insurance and mortgage intermediaries can sign up voluntarily to join the ombudsman service before then. Those firms that have already done so find it enhances their reputation for being client-focused - and helps them prepare for when they become fully regulated.
