About this event

Do you work in the financial advice industry?

Hosted by our chief executive and chief ombudsman, Caroline Wayman, this is part of a series of conversations we’ve been having with small groups of financial advisers across the country. Listening to their perspectives on the ombudsman – and wider issues in financial services – has been really helpful, and we’ve been able to share insight on what we’ve seen.

The event is virtual, interactive and open to financial advisers. Operated as a roundtable, attendees join by video to take part in the conversation with representatives from the Financial Ombudsman Service, FCA and other financial advisers.

In this round table discussion, we’ll talk about our approach to resolving complaints in areas such as investment and pensions advice – whilst answering any questions you may have on issues including suitability reports, insistent clients, our funding and our ombudsmen’s decisions. We'll also cover issues being faced in the light of Covid-19.

The event will be chaired by our chief ombudsman, Caroline Wayman and will be joined by a representative from the Financial Conduct Authority.
