The Financial Ombudsman is today announcing the appointment of Jenny Simmonds to the role of Chief Finance and Risk Officer.

Jenny, 51, will take up her role in January and will lead the financial and risk infrastructure and be accountable for the property and facilities management strategies, the procurement function and will also act as Company Secretary.

Jenny is currently Strategy, Commercial & Data Director at Virgin Media O2 Business & Wholesale UK. She has over ten years’ experience as a Finance Director, having held this role across various divisions of Virgin Media O2. 

Abby Thomas, Chief Executive and Chief Ombudsman, Financial Ombudsman Service, said:

Jenny brings a wealth of experience as a Finance Director and has a leadership style that is inclusive and collaborative. Jenny will be a strong addition to the Executive team. I’m delighted she is joining us and I’m looking forward to working with her.
