Yes – but we can't help with all problems with current account charges. If someone feels the charges being applied are unfair or excessive, it's unlikely we'll be able to look into the complaint. That's because in 2009 the Supreme Court said these charges can't be challenged on the basis that they're too high.
But if the charges haven't been applied in line with the terms and conditions of someone's current account or if the charges were the result of the business's error – we might be able to help. If someone's in financial hardship, we can look into whether we think the bank did enough to help their customer.
