If you think you've been the victim of a scam or fraud, the first thing to do is contact the financial business as soon as possible - the sooner they know what's happened, the sooner they can try to protect your money. You should also report the matter to Action Fraud  by calling them on 0300 123 2040. 

If you can't sort things out with the business, get in touch and we'll see how we can help. We look at a wide range of complaints relating to financial scams and fraud - including problems with money transfers and disputed transactions.

As a service, our role is to look at how a financial business has acted following the fraud or scam - and if we decide they've done something wrong, we'll consider how they should put things right. But how these scams happened - and what happens to the people who carry them out - is a matter for the police and other authorities to investigate.
