Financial complaints have risen by 20% according to latest half-yearly data

Our newly published data shows the number of financial complaints received in the second half of 2023 rose by a fifth.
Today we’ve published data showing how many complaints we received about individual businesses – and the uphold rate of those we resolved – between January and June 2020.
We received a total of just over 118,000 complaints in this period. PPI continues to be the most complained about product, with a total of almost 41,500 new complaints received in the first half of 2020. We upheld 31% of complaints in the consumers’ favour.
