Welcome to the latest edition of Ombudsman News. In this edition, we look at our latest data, which covers the complaints we received about financial products and services between April and June 2024.
Today we’ve published a public consultation on our proposed plans and budget for 2020/2021 and our future strategy, looking ahead to 2025 and beyond.
The consultation sets out our plans for the coming financial year, including the volumes of complaints we expect to receive and resolve, and our proposed budget and funding arrangements.
The consultation is open until 31 January 2020. Read the full consultation and find out more about how to send us your response.
We will publish our final plans and budget for 2020/21 before the end of the current financial year, together with our future strategy and a summary of the feedback we received.

Fraud and scam complaints are at their highest ever quarterly level, data released by us revealed today.

Unhappy homeowners and businesses brought 2,001 buildings insurance complaints to us within the first quarter of this financial year – the highest number of complaints within a three-month period.
