We have published our plans and budget for the next financial year. Our plans and budget for the forthcoming year follows on from the consultation we published in December 2021, and which closed at the end of January 2022.
The next financial year will be about investing to make a step change in the performance of the Financial Ombudsman Service, implementing our Action Plan, and continuing to shorten our queues. The changes we will make will enable the organisation to deliver a better service for our customers. Our key initiatives will encompass our strategy, our people, our technology, our communications, and our financial stability. Find out more about our plans for the year ahead on our website.
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has confirmed an increase to our award limits from 1 April. Our award limit is the maximum amount we can require a financial business to pay when we uphold complaints. Find out more about our award limits on our website.
Several parts of the UK were affected by storms late last year and early this year. If you’re a consumer adviser or representative, and want to find out how to make a complaint about the way an insurer has handled a claim for loss or damage caused by a storm, our website contains information about how to complain and how we can help. We also publish examples of what we said in cases we have resolved.
We’re recruiting for more talented people to join us at the Financial Ombudsman. Find out more about the roles we offer – and why choosing a career with us helps to keep fairness at the heart of financial services.
